The main purpose of the Romanian Heritage Festival
is to celebrate, preserve and promote
the Romanian heritage, culture and traditions
in the Chicago metropolitan area.

Secondarily, the purpose of this annual event is
to raise funds and assist the needs of our community projects, such as:
the Romanian Tribune Newspaper and of the Romanian Heritage Center in Niles,
which is also home of the Romanian Library and Cultural Center.

The Romanian Heritage Center is managed and administered
by the Romanian-American Network Inc.
It features a Romanian Village Exhibit,
a Romanian Library and Cultural Center,
and a Romanian Business & Conference Center.
The "Romanian Village Exhibit" with a unique and authentic "Sezatoare",
in the Romanian folklore traditions is a setting used by villagers
when getting together to celebrate and have fun.
The "sezatoare" is traditionally a special heart-to-heart home-felt cultural setting.

The Romanian Library & Cultural Center in Niles was built with the same intent
creating a home-felt hearty place for cultural events in the Romanian community of Chicago.
The Romanian Heritage Center is hosting activities for other organizations such as:
"RO ACT Theatre" (a Romanian Theatre Company in Chicago), "Romanian Book Club".
North American Romanian Press Association,
and the Romanian American Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The Romanian Library & Cultural Center multi-purpose room
is available for private parties on special occasions.

The Romanian Heritage Center in Niles is open for visitations
Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Weekend and after hours by appointment only.
