The Romanian Library and Cultural
Center of Chicago has currently over 3,500 books
catalogued, with more being added every week, available for
rent only to the members of our Romanian Book Club.
Those wishing to become members of the Romanian
Book Club need to contact us by phone or in person and
obtain all the up to date information. An application for
membership must be filled out and submitted for approval to
the management. Upon approval of such application, before
becoming eligible for membership, each applicant must accept
and sign Contract of Assurance & Guarantee for Return
thus insuring the safeguard and preservation of our books.
Please keep in mind that some books are not for rent and may
be used only in the library.
In order to become and remain a member of
our Romanian Book Club, each individual must pay
an annual membership fee of $ 60. Members within the same
household are privileged to receive membership rights at an
additional fee of $ 10 per person per year. All these membership
fees are merely directed to cover the administrating costs
incurred from database maintenance and up keeping.
As we continuously work toward having a better
and larger library and research center, we appeal to any and
all individuals and organizations that may donate either books
or other type of resources to equip and maintain our center.
Romanian as well as English titles are welcomed!
